Cruise Industry Driving the Market for Maritime Antennas

This partnership was followed by Carnival Corporation, a key competitor to Royal Caribbean launching a hybrid systems of satellite and land-based Wi-Fi systems that have the capabilities to bring Internet speeds of up to 10 times faster that it available in the industry. Another key development is from Norwegian Cruise Line which is planning to develop its own superfast system.

Internet connectivity has become one of the value propositions for passengers travelling in the cruise ships. Satellite antennas from companies such as Intellian, Raytheon and KVH industries enhance the reception capabilities and enable cruise companies in providing superior connectivity on sea.
